The Curious Crew Joins the Intel® Skills for Innovation Program
Our science stories are heading into classrooms around the world. Through Intel Skills for Innovation, a free learning platform used by more than 380,000 people, most of them educators, our books and teaching materials can reach teachers far beyond Europe.

We are proud to announce that The Curious Crew is collaborating with Intel on the Intel® Skills for Innovation (SFI) Program. Through this collaboration, our science storytelling content can become part of the program’s learning platform, a global community where educators find free, ready-to-use resources to teach the skills young people need to innovate.
This is an exciting expansion of the channels through which our content reaches schools. Alongside European Schoolnet’s network of 34 European Ministries of Education and the Scientix platform for science education in Europe, Intel SFI opens a door to educators far beyond Europe, in the format teachers can use every day: lesson-ready material they can take straight into their classrooms.
A global stage for science storytelling
The Intel Skills for Innovation platform brings together a large and highly targeted audience:
380,000+
registered users worldwide, primarily educators
20+
languages the platform publishes in
100%
free access to all learning resources
- A truly global reach. Learning resources are available to every registered user worldwide, with more than 20,000 users in Europe alone.
- An audience of educators. Users are primarily teachers and education professionals. This is not a general consumer audience; it is the people who decide what happens in the classroom.
- Guided onboarding by the SFI team. Educators are onboarded directly by the Intel SFI team through dedicated engagement groups, so resources reach a committed, actively supported community of teachers.
- No barriers to access. Every resource on the platform is free for all registered users.
- Built for many languages. The platform publishes in more than 20 languages. Content launches in English and can then be localised as demand from specific regions grows.
Expanding the teacher’s pack
Every Curious Crew title already combines an illustrated story that sparks curiosity with a learning app that lets children explore further through play. Classroom resources for teachers can already be part of this experience: they can be accessed through the learning app that accompanies each science storytelling book, which is unique to each book and only available by scanning the QR code in it.
- The book brings children back to reading. At a time when short-form social media content is competing for young people’s attention and concerns about declining literacy are growing, a well-told story invites children to read, listen and follow a narrative from beginning to end. Characters they love turn a complex topic into an adventure, while building reading skills, vocabulary and concentration along the way.
- The learning app puts technology to work for learning, not against it. It extends the story through interactive play that deepens understanding, and gives teachers access to ready-to-use educational material linked to each book, so a science lesson can be prepared in minutes, without needing specialist knowledge.
- The SFI layer gives us the opportunity to expand this teacher’s pack and bring it to many more educators and students worldwide, within a global program built around teaching skills for innovation.
Together, these elements turn a single story into a complete learning journey that works for families, for teachers and for schools, now with the potential to travel across regions and languages.
Why this matters
For our storytelling
We have always believed that complex ideas become simple when they are told as a story. Bringing our stories into a professional educator community means they are used deliberately, in lessons with clear learning goals, rather than read once and put back on the shelf. Educators’ feedback will also help us sharpen our stories, making each new title more effective in the classroom.
For our corporate partners
Our books are created together with companies that shape the technologies of tomorrow, from energy and batteries to semiconductors and space. Behind every one of these technologies lies knowledge that is often abstract and invisible to children, yet essential to the world they will grow up in. The SFI collaboration helps turn that knowledge into fascination, in classrooms around the globe:
- Sparking fascination for technology worldwide. A story about how a battery stores energy or how a chip processes information can now reach children in schools and regions across the globe, inspiring them to ask how the world around them works.
- Raising awareness of technical knowledge. Technical skills will shape the future of every society. Making these topics accessible and exciting at an early age helps children see that science and engineering are something they can understand and take part in.
- Reaching schools, educators and students across borders. Together, we can bring science storytelling to places it would otherwise not reach, supporting teachers who are looking for engaging ways to explain complex topics.
- Long-lasting impact. Classroom resources are used and reused over many school years, nurturing curiosity and, over time, inspiring the next generation of engineers, scientists and innovators.
- Room to grow. Every project can keep evolving: new information, new technological discoveries and new chapters of a story can be added over time, so each collaboration stays current and continues to expand alongside the technology it explains.
For children worldwide
Curiosity is universal, but access to engaging science education is not. Through this collaboration, a child in a classroom in Asia, Africa, Latin America or Europe can meet the same characters and explore the same big questions: How does a battery work? What happens inside a chip? How do we get to the Moon? Our goal is simple: every child deserves to feel that science belongs to them.
What comes next
We are thrilled about the opportunity to make an impact on global education and to see our stories inspire children and educators in every corner of the world. Stay tuned for more.
Does your company have an abstract story to tell to young learners? Perhaps a technology that powers everyday life, but which few children have ever heard of or understand? We would love to explore together how it could become a science story that fascinates children around the world.
