Small chips, big questions: The Curious Crew, invited to SEMICON Europa in Munich, 10–13 November 2026

What is SEMICON Europa?

SEMICON Europa is Europe’s largest trade fair for microelectronics. Organised by SEMI Europe, it brings together the entire chip supply chain, from materials and manufacturing to advanced packaging.

This year it runs from 10 to 13 November at Messe München, alongside electronica, under the theme “Europe’s Next Era: Navigating the Perfect Storm”. Engineers, researchers and industry leaders meet to discuss where chips are heading, and who will build them.

Where we come in

Microchips run the tablets, cars and toys children use every day. Yet for most children, a chip remains a mystery, and most explanations begin with theory they can’t yet picture.

The Curious Crew creates new ways to bring topics like semiconductors into primary schools. Our books and learning apps keep children fascinated, not overwhelmed with theory.

Our stories take children inside the technology: in The Battery Town, the crew explores the inside of a car battery. The science comes along naturally, and every story is checked by engineers and technicians who work in the field.
