1. Overview

This Return Policy applies to all book purchases made directly through The Curious Crew online shop at curious-crew.com/shop. For purchases made through third-party retailers (Amazon, Thalia, Barnes & Noble, etc.), please refer to that retailer's return policy.

Our premium quality books are printed and shipped directly from Europe. We take pride in the quality of our products and stand behind every book we sell.

2. Return Eligibility

You may return books purchased from our shop within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, subject to the following conditions:

  • The book must be in its original, unused condition
  • The book must not show signs of wear, damage, or markings
  • The book must be returned in its original packaging (if applicable)
  • You must provide proof of purchase (order confirmation email or order number)

The 14-day return period begins from the day you receive your order.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Books that have been written in, highlighted, or otherwise marked
  • Books with visible damage caused after delivery
  • Books returned after the 14-day return window
  • Personalized or custom-printed items (if offered)

4. Damaged or Defective Items

If your book arrives damaged or has a printing defect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will:

  • Send a replacement book at no additional cost, or
  • Issue a full refund including original shipping costs

Please include photos of the damage or defect when contacting us to help expedite your claim.

5. How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us via our contact form or email at team@curious-crew.com with your order number and reason for return
  2. Receive confirmation - We will review your request and provide return instructions within 2 business days
  3. Ship the item - Pack the book securely and send it to the address provided in our return confirmation
  4. Receive your refund - Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund

6. Return Shipping Costs

Standard returns: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped) or a defective product.

Damaged/defective items: We will cover all return shipping costs for items that arrived damaged or defective.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in return transit.

7. Refund Processing

Once your return is received and approved, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Please note that depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Refund amounts:

  • Standard returns: Full purchase price (excluding original shipping)
  • Damaged/defective returns: Full purchase price plus original shipping

8. Exchanges

If you would like to exchange a book for a different language version, please initiate a return and place a new order for the desired item. This ensures the fastest processing time.

For exchanges due to damage or defects, contact us and we will arrange the replacement directly.

9. Purchases from Third-Party Retailers

Books purchased through third-party retailers such as Amazon, Thalia, Barnes & Noble, Waterstones, or other bookshops are subject to that retailer's return policy. We cannot process returns or refunds for purchases made outside our official shop.

Please note that print quality for books sold through third-party distributors is managed by our printing partners and may vary from our premium direct-sale editions.

EU Consumer Rights

Under EU consumer protection law, you have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. This withdrawal period begins from the day you receive your goods. Our return policy is designed to comply with and exceed these minimum requirements.
